I’m a multidisciplinary artist and Brown University student committed to interpreting and reconciling cultural injustice.  My work centers the dialogue between body and dress via performance, apparel design, and research.  Within these conversations, I parse systems of domination and discipline to expose the cracks and alcoves where personhood prevails.  Grounded in cultural history, semiotics, and queer theory, my practice functions effectively/affectively within dominant aesthetic regimes and is sensitive to histories of violence.  I strive to create work that incites ideological confrontation, animates more nuanced and inclusive worldviews, and cultivates collective love.
